That problem again - ReWiring into Pro Tools.

I have had it working in the past, certainly with these versions of OS/Max/PT, possibly even on this particular MacBook, but this time it's just not having it.

I've done all the usual trashing /Library/Application Support/Propheads folder and reinstalling ReWire; registering Max as a rewire device, closing Max, opening PT, opening Max etc. etc.

The only possibly different thing I notice this time is a Max message saying something about not being able to configure sysmidi - mean anything to anyone?

Alternatives? I've tried Soundflower, but just get feedback when I try to record in PT - am I doing something wrong? Anyone here using Soundflower to record Max in PT?

One other thing to try which sometimes works

Place an alias to the MSPReWireDevice.bundle (in Max6/Cycling '74/ad/) in the ReWire folder (./Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software/ReWire/).
