weird issue when I load Dae collada file
Hello all,
I would need some help about a strange beahaviour of dae file which is converted from .fbx thanks to opencollada 3dsmax plugins.
This is a rat, and there's a whole part of its body which seems to be reversed, although in blender the file is ok (see the png attached).
do you have any idea where this problem could come from and how to solve it ?
I put the .DAE wich is an animation.
Thank you.
a.
I can reproduce,
I have also problem to open your file with cinema4d and mesh lab.
Do you have the same problem also without animation?
poor rat!
yeah, there's lots of things that can go wrong when importing/exporting 3D models.
looking at your file, i see tons of nodes that aren't related to the actual geometry or skeleton structure.
i would recommend removing everything from the scene except the model geometry, materials, and the skeleton.
try exporting and see if it comes out better.
from there, you can add things back, bit by bit, and see what is causing the problems.
for what it's worth, the library we use to load 3d models has been updated, and the rat loads much better in the newer version.
however there are still issues.
thanks for your responses.
without animation, no problem..hmhm...
I'll do as you say Rob, try to remove useless stuffs from the scene.
