Whither elastic~?
hi,
does anyone know what's happened to the guys behind the elastic~ objects? Sites and email addresses seem to be dead or unattended.
Or if you're here guys - is elastic~ going to be updated to work with Max6?
Has anyone come across a time stretcher/pitch shifter that's as smooth as elasticx~ (is/was)?
thanks
David :-(
This website seems up and running:
Yes, the website is on, but no-one's home. I tried emailing them via the addresses there first, but no reply after several weeks. Then I looked for direct email addresses - one doesn't work, the other doesn't exist. Sigh. Perhaps it's defunct, which would be very sad.
Timo Rozendal grainstretch~ is a good alternative :

Thanks Mathieu,
I'll check that out in the morning.
Hey David, I am using elasticx~ with Max 6 and it is working great.
The PayPal payment goes to joe@joejarlett.co.uk - have you tried that address?
I discovered this product early this morning and bought it. I ran into a few problems (turned out that the example for elasticx was wrong) and after sending a few emails, I did get a response from Joe so they are definitely there. He did say that porting to Max 6 is low priority. I don't know what it means to port it if others are reporting it already works.
@dan - that's the address I tried - it bounced back.
But it looks like dhjdhjdhj managed to get through, and that's answered my original question. Still waiting on my new hard drive, but as soon as I get it installed 8'm going to do a clean install of everything and try elastic out again. And also look at grainstretch~ and free_elastic - it's good to have options, and different sounds.
Thanks for the comments everyone.
Hi there,
I'm also looking for the makers of Elasticx. I've bought it actually but lost the authorization number whilst porting to another computer. It seems like the makers are already offline. How do i get this restored? where could the authorization code be on my old computer? anyone?
thanks!
hey, did you send an email to support@elasticmax.co.uk ? same thing happened to me and they answered in 2011
you could also use the new time stretch function of groove~ in Max7, it's even better imo
