Why do ABL compressors miss a sidechain input?
Seems arbitrary to implement. Been waiting for it. Pretty sure the older omx compressors are missing sidechain input too
You can use the gain envelope output to accomplish that. The standard input would be the "sidechain" and then simply multiply the gain envelope output against whatever signal you want to reduce the gain of based on the "sidechain" input.
Just requires thinking about it a little differently. Great idea for a specific tab demonstrating the concept in the help file.
Ah! That makes sense. I agree that a mention of how to do it would be nice, but I am glad it's prossible (with an extra *~ object)
