Why does the formatting of a user project get screwed up after being published?

Hi,

is there any help available on the formatting of the user project pages? I see some weird things on a recently published project page e.g. the YT video links which used to appear as embedded player windows show up as links.
Going back to edit mode doesn't show the formatting tools used during creation and I can't see any other option to fix the layout of the page.

Hi @hungaristani

We're currently making some changes to the site, and the post editors are one of the items we're looking into. We've switched to a much simpler editor for more consistent formatting, which is why some of the options have disappeared.

It'd be great to know any issues or any guides we can create to make things easier for you.

I do see what you mean about the YouTube links not being embedded anymore. Can you try pasting the actual embed code from YouTube to see if it works for you?

In the case of your project, it would look something like this:

Hi,

yes, I tried that and it does make a difference if quotation marks are entered as " and not as "

Something is badly screwed up here, the embedded player window randomly shows up or disappears, sometimes it gets displayed in the text body, sometimes it's in the right column. Sometimes an older version of the text shows up (no, it's not a browser cache thing), the project page looks different when pressing the View Project button to when pressing the Preview Changes button... All in all, this is totally unpredictable and it's certainly not ready for live usage.

Ah, I found a small bug in the editor. You might have caught me in the middle of debugging, which could have caused some inconsistencies on your end.

The video on the right column should be the video URL inputted in the "Audio and Video" section:

Any embedded videos in the main body should show up on the left. I have also experienced in the past that iframes don't render well in the previews for Wordpress. But once published, they do show up. I'll look into this a bit more and see if we can find a fix.

Can you give me more info about how "an older version of the text shows up"? Which text do you mean?

In the mean time, I've adjusted a bit of the code. Can you please try re-saving again and let me know?

Thanks for your patience as well.
