Why is tri~ useless as an LFO? (amplitude drops for low frequencies)
tri~'s peak amplitude seems to be decreasing towards 0 for frequencies below 10Hz or so, which makes it useless as an LFO, as can be seen in the patch below.
Sure, one could use the "ideal triangle" from the help patch, but having the LFO anti-aliased at audio rate is still nice...
Also, why is tri~ oscillating between -0.5 and 0.5, while all other oscs go from -1 to 1???

all of the bandlimited oscillators in msp were upgraded in Max 6 to have dcblocking on their output, hence the decreasing below about 10 hz or so. this is preferable for these oscillators.
you want [triangle~] for a tri LFO, and maybe xfade below 10 hz if you really want that.
most bandlimited oscillators using blep or similar will be approx -0.5..0.5 as part of the bandlimiting afaik.
