Will a m4l device made recently in live 11 work in ableton live 10?
Is that type of compatability a thing? haha. I would download ableton 10 to try myself, but for some reason you can't if you only bought it when it became live 11 haha
Generally yes, but it really depends on what it does. There are a few things that can only be done in Live 11. And there are two sides to that... sometimes it's limited by the Max version which bundles with Live 10 and sometimes its limited by API that older Live doesn't have (and thus the ONLY solution for compatibility is Live 11).
The Live Object Model page will usually say "Available since Live 11.0.0" for stuff that is Live 11 only.
The dynamic color stuff only works in Live 11, or maybe Live 10 if the users installs a newer Max version.
