I've come across a problem. Whenever I try to save any of my work, it won't let me. I've tried 'Save' and 'Save as...'. Neither of which seem to be working. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

The following error pops up in the Max Window

"jpatcher_saveto: error -1 writing *enterfilenamehere*.maxpat"

Would be a great help if there was something that could be done to fix this problem.

What platform are you on? It could have to do with disk permissions that need to be repaired, or a locked partition.

It was working perfectly until very recently, I haven't changed any settings so I really don't know how this started.

While I'm not an expert of windows, to say the least, I would suggest you look at your file/folder permissions. This is likely to be the issue here.

in the meantime you can save text versions of your patches if you're doing a lot of work with them. See if it lets you Save As Text, or if your code pasted into a New Text will save. Otherwise use good old Notepad...

Just installed 5.1 for Windows 7 64bit, having the same problem - have posted in a few other threads, hoping someone's found a workaround at this point. Saving the files as .txt documents doesn't seem to work either :(
