I knew about write to thispatcher for scripting saving, but just discovered there is an undocumented writeas! Great stuff, except that I can't give it an argument, ideally I would like to open a save dialogue in a certain folder and set a suggested filename. Any suggestions?

Did you get anywhere with this? I am currently tying to do the same.

Unbelievably no... Seems like a basic feature, but there are posts going back 10 years asking for it. When I get time I will log an official feature request, may be good if you do the same. Couldn't seem to get to a workaround at the time, but have been distracted by other things since.
