has anyone heard about an update to xgroove~ for max 5? (thomas grill's great groove~ "replacement".) if so, have you tried it in 5.1.3 yet?

i'm having problems getting max 5.1.3 to see the xgroove~ external. after i found a max 5.1.0 version of xgroove~ things were okay, but i just installed 5.1.3 and now max complains with "xgroove~: object now found". any advice?

i haven't yet tried using the built-in groove~ object. were there improvements to it in 5. (it was always too "clicky" for me in the days of max 4. xgroove~ improved all that.)

never mind, i figured out my problem. i needed to add the xsample_objectmappings.txt file to correct folder (i.e., /Applications/Max5/Cycling '74/init *and* xsample.mxo to /Applications/Max5/Cycling '74/msp-externals -- duh. i should have been more careful when i upgraded.
