There's an example in this thread that you might find useful.

anyone have any additional insight into this question? i'm looking to do the same. Lots of cool stuff with the x-axis using jit.graph and jit.gl.graph but looking into how to expand it to xy.

I find the scope in the SEV patch by Katsuhiro Chiba (http://www.audiooo.com/jp/software/index.html) pretty nice and it can be used in interesting way: http://giorgiomagnanensi.com/butterflies-2/ http://giorgiomagnanensi.com/sine-beats/ http://giorgiomagnanensi.com/noisescope-1/ ciao, g

the video examples look amazing! Care to elaborat how you moved from the SEV patch to the one you're using?

I just extracted the scope part of the patch, duplicated it to get the mirror effect, added slide and changed colors. I'm sure you could add a chain of other FX if you wished, I usually like to add some glow on the recorded clips. Ciao, g

Giorgio, Your videos are beautiful! How did you get such fine resolution and stability in the sine-beats video? I've been playing with the settings in Katsuhiro Chiba's patch, but I can't get anything as smooth and clear this. Also, some of the parameters seem to change depending on the frequency of the input. I'd like to get the same kinda visualization you're getting here across all frequencies. I'm very familiar with Max/MSP, but don't know Jitter so well yet. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

      Hi David,
I play and tweak the parameters a lot (slide especially) also depending on the audio input I'm using. Then I record the video again passing it through the lumablur patch in attachment (*) to get some smooth luminescence. Mainly experimenting a lot..., a bit time consuming but fun ; )
I love oscilloscopes though so I can spend lots of time either with Jitter, Reaktor (1) or with "real" old Tektronix oscilloscopes (2): 1) https://vimeo.com/80757042 2) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjSGoOfoLvU
(*) I think the original inspiration for this was a patch either by Andrew Benson or Nesa, but I don't remember as it was 5 or 6 years ago...

Thanks a lot Giorgio! I'll play with this and see what I come up with...
