Yet another reason why Max is the best.
Just wanted to say that it tickles me that I have Max versions 4.6, 5, 6, 6.1 and 7 all installed and usable on the same machine.
I don't think I have more than one version of any other software installed (OK, QuickTime, but that's probably it).
I'm not sure what that says about Max, but it impresses me...
+1
a great testament to Max's power and ease of use is also that you can make StandAlone's with them that run on most recent versions of Mac and Windows without any strange console errors or debugging!
Yes, I think that's what blows my mind - that they can all run on the same OS without falling over. Pro Tools freaks out if you run a minor OS variant in the same building, let alone on the same machine ;)
I keep 4.6 for Pluggo, of course, though I'm not sure if I even have any hosts that still support it.
I still use 5 to build my applications, seems to use less CPU (monstrous patch, so no time to track down).
Actually still learning parts of 6 and gen~, never mind 7!
Would be nice to have 4 just for old times sake.
