Help with Bi-directional external synth editor

Hello! I would love to know if someone could help me to modify an existing M4L device (Here: https://maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=4123#25440) to allow it to update its parameters to reflect the state of the synth, after a program change. It currently shows changes when tweaking a knob, but doesn't "snap" to those knob's actual settings upon changing a patch.

Is this even possible? I am an absolute neophyte when it comes to programming and realize this may not be something I can implement myself but would love to have some help. Would even be willing to pay someone to create/edit this for me!
