I am writing to announce a call for two positions at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) as part of a new research project at the Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology (ICST), titled “

Animated Objects and Moving Sound Sources: Expanding Spatial Audio in Post-Instrumental Practice

” — an artistic research project exploring the overlap between object performance and spatial audio in contemporary music, supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

The research investigates how spatial audio, using moving loudspeakers and high-resolution 3D rendering (HOA, WFS), interacts with the physical presence of bodies and objects, through composition and performance with scenography, puppetry, computer vision-based instruments and mechatronic systems, from tabletop settings to large-scale installations.

The project supports two four-year positions:

PhD Artistic Researcher in Post-Instrumental Spatial Practice

Practice-based, electroacoustic composition and artistic theory orientation, culminating in a doctoral dissertation.

I am a university student in need of some programming assistance. I am creating a Maxmsp software where real-time heartbeat is used to control the volume of music tracks in a song. I’m looking at getting some assistance with connecting the heart rate monitor to the Max8 program. I am using a Polar H7 Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor, which I have already been able to pair to my Windows PC. I have already worked out the audio parts of the program, I just need a way to connect, record and display the heart rate in Max8 in real time. Searching for someone who can help me with live streaming data from various API's into m4L. If all goes well, this would expand to also finding ways to port in sounds from web radios to either m4L or Ableton. This step will enable me to develop sound triggers and automations in Ableton for a live sound performance. 

This should be relatively straightforward for those with experience doing so, and would be a matter of dealing with the  particularities of the different API's I identify, and how to expose the relevant data in each.

Please let me know if you're interested and open to speaking more, or if you wish to share a proposal.

I'm working on an old music piece that needs some externals from Eric Lyon's potpourri.

But all I could find online is 32bits only : I know the sources are available at https://github.com/ericlyon/LyonPotpourri3.0-MaxMSP but I don't know how to compile objects

Does anyone know where to find a 64 bits version of these externals ? Especially el.bashfest el.samm and el.mask

Or we could pay someone to compile it : please tell me if you're interested in this ...
