Che ci faccio qui? (What Am I Doing Here?) - Interactive installation

The interactive system was almot entirely programmed with Max, except for the QR Code reader, which was made with Processing, and communicating with Max via OSC.

Voices were recorded outside the installation with a dedicated patch and saved as consecutively numbered files.

The files were then synced (using Bittorrent Sync) with a second computer running the playback patch, which picked and played 30 voices at a time with random volumes and quadraphonic spatialisation.

Users were given a QR code corresponding to the filename they recorded, and by showing it to a camera, they were able to hear their voice emerge among the others.
