3D representation of audio in max/MSP/Jitter ?

Hi !
i'd like to make a 3D representation of an audio extract : time/freq/amplitude, in order make a volume, and rotate it end then play again.
Would you think it would be possible in max ? how would you do that ?
i know that audiosculpt can export sound analysis as a sdif.txt file, does anyone know how to deal with this data ?

no idea ?

Yes, I have drawn from audio in 3D, glad to find someone else interested in the idea. What I do is catch the waveform and put it in a mesh in various ways. I'm not sure how to draw other objects besides meshes in jitter. Perhaps you can draw the frequency curve in jit.gl.sketch, I don't know....but rather than audiosculpt import, it would be easier just to draw the frequency data in msp, as in the msp tutorial on using the fft.

How would you gather the freq, amp, and time using fft ?
I'm absolutely not familiar with these objects, and i don't really see it in the fft tutorials.

2D but the step to 3D wouldn't be very hard to make.

Wow, many thanks !!

There is an threa on this site from a few years ago now that I have used as a point of departure a couple of times that may also be useful to you: https://cycling74.com/forums/sharing-is-fun-fft-geometry-remix-waterfall/

EDit: Sorry for the double post.

Thanks spectro !
I assume this patch is a good starting point. i need to figure out how to record these shapes and gather them as a volume. A lot of things to learn....
