AirTurn BT-106 as trigger (latency fixes?)
Hi there,
I have a simple patch to trigger audio cues for a piece for guitar and audio playback. The performer has an AirTurn BT-106 pedal (normally used to turn pages) and so it seemed like a good option for them to trigger the audio files with it. It has two pedals that when pressed, report in the same way as QWERTY pg up (31) and pg down (30). I thought the simplest solution was to use [key] and [sel 30 31] to send bangs and start the audio cues (right pedal) & go back to the previous cue (left pedal). There is however noticeable latency between pressing the pedals and the bangs being sent out, which affects the flow of the piece.
Is latency common with bluetooth devices when using them as triggers? I am wondering if there is a method to connect the pedal to the patch other than with [key] and [sel] that would reduce latency OR if this is just not a useable option for a patch that requires as little latency as possible between pedal press and audio start.
Any advice greatly appreciated!
Matt
