alternatives to ReWire?
When I share standalones I am having trouble finding an easy and reliable way for friends to route audio to/from the standalone to their DAW. (Maybe there are built in Max solutions for this that don't use ReWire nor require audio driver channels?)
Depending on the DAW, I've found Rewire setup can be complicated or otherwise problematic. I'm aware of a few other options like Rogue Amoeba Loopback / Sound Flower, but are there any cross-platform tools for this, ideally free or inexpensive, all the while easy to setup?
I realize thats a big ask, but thought I'd see if anyone has something slick.

Apart from the solutions you listed, there is jack audio router. Alternatively, if what you are using is mostly inside gen~, you can export hte code and turn it into a vst~. Lastly if their DAW is Ableton Live, the ideal solution is max for live.
Of course none of these solutions are ideal, and this is an ever-difficult territory !
