It sounds like reverse delay with some granular processing but I'm not 100%.

Yes, that sounds likely. Doesn't sound like anything special going on here, but instead tried and true techniques. You can do a lot with granular synthesis if you make your own instruments that are not quite like any others.

the granular synth could be recording the guitar and playing back from the end of the length of buffer toward the start to achieve a reverse.
