Ambient/Generative Project

Hello,

I am working on an ambient, generative sound installation which will provide atmosphere for an art show. I would like to create a patch which endlessly creates soft melodic textures which can unfold over the course of the event. The space will house four loudspeakers, one in each corner of the room. Each speaker will emit a portion of the overall sonic texture, which combine in a sonorous way.
I would like to examine examples of patches from which I can learn how to implement my idea. Can anyone suggest a few good starting points?

Thank you,
Scott

I like this post on generative techniques

Near the bottom Roman gives a good overview of techniques.

Also I might look into creating some kind of granular cloud. Munger~ can output to multiple speakers and has a lovely pitch sieve function to make it sound nice and harmonic or have a look at SugarSynth which I am sure you could mod to your own purposes - https://cycling74.com/forums/new-granular-synth-patch-sugarsynth
