I saw in a related post here that there might be talk of bringing it back. Also based on the timeline, Max 9 might be around the corner. 

With Rewire now deprecated, and there being whole DAWs like FL Studio or Reason that can be loaded as VSTs, it seems like it’d be natural for Pluggo to comeback. 

Max has the potential to be a really great development environment that’s accessible to artists, but at the moment it’s practically walled off from non-Ableton users. Gen is an alternative, but I think suits a different use case and is much less accessible.

I saw in a related post here that there might be talk of bringing it back. Also based on the timeline, Max 9 might be around the corner.
