Article on OpenGL's 'successor,' Vulkan

I've recently been refamiliarizing myself with the jit.gl objects and am so pleased with how its developed. The article (link below) that I just read makes me curious how exactly Cycling74 works with OpenGL as it improves itself and offers newer versions. So for example, this new 'Vulkan' standard - how would this be implemented into Max's GL objects, if at all?

Interesting! But i bet that 'cause Apple adbandoned the Khronos ship in favor of its own Metal API, Cycling'74 will favor the OSX path first.
Obviously this is on the basis of Max history. It started on Mac so it always provileges Mac for new technologies.
Then after some year Cycling'74 give some love to Windows systems too.

(a Win user here ;-)

anyway would be cool if Cycling give an eye to Vulkan/Metal API in the next months. As i read could be a great improvement for real time, animations, textures, cameras and the likes.

best!
