I try to make "more simpler" with transient slicing. I can do thing with FluCoMa, but the slices are written to a buffer~ witch can not be saved with the live set. With "dump" I can store the data in a dict and save it with the set, but how to reload the dict to FluCoMa? There is a "function" dictionary but I cant get it work.

I have been discovering M4L for a few days and my poor English absolutely does not help me advance in my search.

Until then, for a few years I worked my bass on Guitar Pro and Ableton which had the role of an instrument. Guitar Pro has a very useful asset for work, which is not found elsewhere, it is the management of the % tempo, per range of +/-5%.

To summarize: when reading the score, we select the tempo and the "-" & "+" keys on the keyboard allow you to increase or decrease the tempo in a range of 5%. There is also a drop-down menu with a certain number of % to choose from and there is also the solution to fill in the tempo we want this time in bpm.

The disadvantage is that all this is not controllable in MiDi...

The idea would therefore be to export the pieces, exercises etc... from GP to Ableton in MiDi and use M4L to build a work tool that would respond to this:

So I started writing a patch by inquiring here and there. I will propose it to you below in image format but also in writing, maybe the study, the correction this one can interest you!

At this stage, I am not getting the desired result, and for a total novice at the start of this project, it is not necessary to have already spent a few hours there! )

I've been out of the Max game for quite a long while and looking to set up my current dev machine (Mac Mini M4, OS 15.x) for 

building Max 9 compatible externals, coding in C++

. My target platform will be MacOS only. I intend to figure out RNBO export some other day.

 I'm finding seems fairly stale. Written in 2022, it's talking about "new" support for M1 silicon and MacOS 10.15 (!).  Hoping some kindly soul would respond here with fresh advice on the latest/greatest supported (i.e. C74 friendly) versions of the various related tools. Or simply point to more recent docs in case I've overlooked them somewhere.

I have to assume that someone out there is happily and successfully building stuff on current generation MacOS + hardware. Will be most grateful if such person wants to save me (and any future travelers) a bunch of needless trial and error on this :-)

I wrote my first external with the help of a friend and decided to publish the beta version. It's called [voice-alligator].

I think it's a powerful and versatile external for people interested in making polyphonic synths in max.

It took quite a few days of work. Learning c++ was certainly a challenge but the hugest challenge was actually nailing down the design/ understanding what it was I exactly wanted my external to do.

Anyway, I'm quite proud of it and also of the help-file. 

It is a beta version because it still has some bugs - I'm looking for help with those and you can find infos about these bugs in the tab "Hanging Notes" in the help-file. I tried to get some help by asking into the Discord Group a few weeks back but got no response, so i thought I'd just do my publishing post with a beta release first and see if this generates a bit more interest.

when i'm exporting my RNBO patch in C++ the class "rnbo-binarydata" is missing in the "Common" folder.

see my configuration for exporting below.

I'm generating dependecies (there is a buffer with an IR inside my RNBO patch) and this class is necesary because in line 2 of the "nbomatic_binary.cpp" file generated ther is this code "#include "RNBO_BinaryData.h".  So when compiliing an error is returned.

I am unable to get my function object to respond to a list. I have tried with and without preceding the x,y values with set. For example, I expect the following to create piece-wise linear function beginning at 0.0, a line to 1.0 in 90ms, a line to 0.6 in 89ms, a line to 0.55 in 380ms, and a line to 0.0 in 200ms.  Domain is set to 1000 and range 1.0.  What am I getting wrong?
