I decided to jump to Max9, and run projects on an alternate configuration for a decent performance on Jitter : MacOS Sequoia (intel), eGPU with an AMD RX6800XT (which I frequently use with Blender)

It turns out I'm running at a solid 60FPS, but for the wrong reason : nothing shows up, on any GL related object, and no error is logged in the console. Just a grey window, and this message on launch :

I have a fairly complicated jitter patch that receives a lot of OSC messages from a Pure Data audio installation. Briefly, it is composed of 8 gridshape that goes to 8 mesh that goes to 8 nodes that are blended to two spout server and I'm using Resolume to edgeblend this composition on a three projector screen. All data from the Pure Data patch are mapped to some parameter to do an audio - video reactive installation. It is working very well at hight fps, but : 

Randomly, I get these errors, always new random ID for both : 

name u709007696 already in use. ob3d does not allow multiple bindings

Also, the patch randomly closes/crashes without having a crash report on reopening.

I can't send OSC messages anymore from Max to Open Stage Control. Both programs are opened on the same computer  and I'm using 

 address in the udpsend object. The computer is running macOS Sonoma.

I'm not sure it is linked because I haven't opened my patcher for some time but I suspect it might have something to do with the upgrade from 9.0.7 to 9.1.1. Has some setting about OSC been introduced between these two versions I should be aware of?

I'm having an issue where I can close all Patchers, then I close Max - after which I can't reload Max.

If I click on the Max Icon, nothing happens.

If I reboot the PC, then I can load Max fine.

When I close Max I use the Menu File/Exit, because if I click the Red X button at top right of the window, Max minimizes to the System Tray, instead of Exiting.

When Max will not reload, if I look in Task Manager there is an entry for MAX using 187MB memory.

If I click 'End Task' nothing happens, I cannot exit that Max reference, as if it is stuck in memory.

I'm having an issue where I can close all Patchers, then I close Max - after which I can't reload Max.

Please fix this two bugs regarding the vst~ object: I am using an M4L plugin with a vst~ object in Ableton Live. When I load Kontakt into this vst~ object within M4L and load some sound libraries in Kontakt, if I write some automation controls (e.g., CC) in the track and playback, it consumes an extremely high amount of CPU. This leads to severe UI lag in Ableton Live during playback, and the audio may also break up as a result. Additionally, after I save this Live set and reopen it, the sound libraries in Kontakt within the vst~ object do not reload—only an empty shell of Kontakt remains! These two issues did not exist in Max 8. It has been so long since Max 9 was released, and these problems still haven't been fixed. I am utterly disappointed and frustrated! Below is the patcher I used for testing:

Hi, I just stumbled upon ossia score which allows detection and control of OSC Devices through OSCQuery.

While they have their own external for Max, the OSCQuery functionality newly integrated in MaxMSP should work in communicating. Though I looked at the response from MaxMSP's OSCQuery Server, the format differs from the OSCQuery proposal stated here,

For instance: min and max in MaxMSP's params have separate OSC Addresses, while the proposal uses a RANGE key with an object with min and max keys on the parameter. 

This mismatch seems to impact the ability for external programs to recognize the param with their properties, instead treating each property of the param as a modifiable param.

Wonder if there are workarounds on this? Or maybe an option can be added in Max to switch between OSCQuery formats?

After a few minutes of using the [snapshot~] it stops working or samples in a random manners, only if I shut the program and restart it, or disconnect [snapshot~] from its wires and undo it, or delete it and then undo it back it returns to work properly.

(The problem goes just the same with the [number~] which release its values as a floats from it's right outlet) .
