audio continou switch
Hi, i'm a very newbie and currently working on an audiovisual work. i did 2 videos switching continous randomly and I want to make the sounds similarly, but now i havent find the way to make it. it means i have 3 sounds from a same song but different version and instead of synchronizing and let 3 sounds are out at the same i want to make these switch like 3 sounds could be playing at the same time but at one time just 1 sound is out while 2 keep running and change randomly like that, when another sound is trigger, it will follow the previous sound instead of playing from where it stop. i hope i could make it enough clear. it is similar to the video switching below. hope soon get any ideas and help, im really appreciated!!
[selector~ 3] is the audio/signal equivalent of [switch 3].
You could have three [groove~] or [playlist~] or [play~] playing and use the same sort of patch you did.
The issue with [selector~ 3] is that you'll probably cause a click when switching to another sound. You could use three different [adsr~] objects instead, connecting those and the playback objects with [*~] objects.
@Bradley could you please explain a little more detailed how i connect those with others? any example patch i will really appreciate. ive never worked with adsr~ or *~ before because i newly come to max sorr
don't complicate, use matrix~
it can switch any number of inputs and outputs with fading.
if playback is mono, you need message
clear, $1 0 1 were $1 would be input number to route to a single output.
for stereo
clear, $1 0 1, $2 1 1
