Audio Convolution Object
Hi all, hope you're well.
Just wondering if anyone knows of any audio convolution objects which can be implemented in Max to perform real time convolution reverb?
Thanks in advance,
Andy
Have you considered typing "convolution reverb" into the search field for the Forum?
I believe there is a Max4Live patch called Convolution Reverb Pro, part of the Max for lives essentials pack. It is a very high quality reverb and allows you to specify your own impulse response files. Best of all it is free!
Thanks Anthony! I'll try to find a copy!

Well, I have tried typing "convolution reverb" into the search field for the Forum... and all this brings up are a lot of unanswered questions and out-dated info. For example, the HISSTools Impulse Response Toolbox is four years old with no compiled binaries. I don't own M4L so the previous suggestion in this thread doesn't help.
So, the question still stands.
One answer would be to use an existing plugin, though I haven't tested this for stability.
The free convolution reverbs are Freeverb3 VST and SIR 1.
Would love to see a [gen~] solution. :-)
There is a convolution reverb in the HOA library. It sounds really good, but I am going to make a warning about it. After I installed it, Java started behaving strangely, and some browser plugins became unresponsive. I removed the extensions and it appears the problem has gone away.
Anyway, the HISTOOLS binaries are compiled and available for download here: http://eprints.hud.ac.uk/id/eprint/14897/
The convolution reverb in M4L 7.3.4 does have quite a number of OTHER undocumented externals in it. But it seems rather clear how it works, I shall try to do something with it. Thanks for the pointer )
I've found the HISSTOOL to work really well for live convolution in Max.
@Ernest - Where is that in the HOA Library? Can't seem to find it....
