I'm looking for USB audio interface that have two main out to connect to the main Monitors, and in addition - two output for two headphones that I can route/control independently .

My goal is to send main audio from max to main DAC~ output 1 & 2 and in addition to send different audio to headphones output 1 (lets called it Dac~ 3) and different audio to headphones output 2 (lets call it Dac~ 4). which audio interface for that?

...and many more. Have a look at Thomann, filter for number of headphones outs and browse with your budget in mind

Motu M6 is optional as well right?

as long the interface has two individual headphones output I can route any signal from max to those outputs?

I'm asking because what I know from regular audio interfaces with one headphones out is that you can only monitor your main out via the headphones out and not other signal..

re: the M6, as I read from the Motu site, one output mirrors out 1-2 and the other one can be switched to out 3-4

Not necessarily, it depends on the internal mixing software of the interface. With higher end MOTUs (like the 828) you can customize routing as you like, same with all the others mentioned above.

Is it possible to drive headphones (AT MH40x or similar) from the line output of the audio interface?

too quiet, you could try boosting in max, but it probably won't be ideal for monitoring during a performance:

you can buy a couple of cheap headphone amplifiers and connect them to the line outputs

I would prefer not to add extra equipment. I will check the M6 to see if is router capable of what i'm looking for...

I am sure there is such a audio interface...
