I have a spinning mesh that I want to extrude(0. to 1.) every time the mesh is facing sideways. What i'm having trouble with is that the mesh is sideways when the quats are at 0.5 out of there -1 1. range. I guess i'm having a hard time with the fact that the peaks of each ramp don't line up.

I messed with sin, cos and some expr stuff, but no luck.
