Beginner question: How to build custom GUI? (unlimited macro knob surface)
Hi,
I'm very interested in using M4L to control my Modular Synth.
I already built a complex chain construction in Ableton, remapping certain controls from several PlugIns to Macro Knobs... but there is only 8 of them.
Not enough. I need many more.
My question:
I' like to have my own environment where I can specify and setup as many controls as possible on one surface. Like Plogue Bidule for example. And have many many "Macro Knobs" available. Transpose Knobs for OSC 1-4, De-Tuning Knobs for OSC 1-4, Vibrato Depths, Delay Settings and so on. I would setup all the necessary vst & ableton plugins in the background (in different chains/audio tracks) and have the connections/signal flow sorted out, but need one surface to control it all conveniently.
How would I proceed? I already figured out how to use the M4L API Param2Param Device in order the remote control any knob/setting in Live.
I'm an absolute beginner with MAX and hope to find an easy way without having to spend weeks on learning the programming of max...
Thanks a lot,
Tobi
PS: I already found a M4L device called MultiMapper16, however, it doesnt allow to map one control to several targets. (Like the macros can do). So no big help.
