i have noticed that while transitioning from Performance Mode (M4L) to Edit Mode (Max) or vice-versa may introduce various bugs. An M4L device that is running fine in Live, may have problems when clicking the EDIT button, or may not resume its functionality when closing the Editing window.

1. A midi effect M4L device i am building is working fine. However, if i click the EDIT button, and then close it, regardless of whether i save it or not, there is no MIDI going through. and i have to delete it and re-insert it. Then its working fine again.

2. Another M4L device i have made is also working fine, but if i have assigned routings to it and i click the EDIT button, then it just crashes. I admit this second patcher may have some dodgy feedback loops, but still, it's rock solid while in performance mode, it just crashes when trying to edit

To reproduce, simply make a routing and sub-routing from its umenu and then click the edit button.
