Building a simple UI with MIDI

Hi!

I’m working for a client and I need to build a simple interface for him but I don’t have experience with MAX/MSP

He is performing with a Drum Pad and Drum sticks so I need to build a simple UI since he doesn’t know Ableton.

I have designed the look of what I want

Basically a start stop button at the top

Then 2 more buttons to change the BPM of the project by adding or subtracting 1 BPM

And the chance to jump into the next scene

Every button has to be MIDI mappable because of the Drum Pad.

Any suggestions on how to start or any freelancer available here to work on this device? We are open to hire someone for this project.

what you ask for is a simple thing.

But you need to precice what happens when one presses next or previous scene ?

imediatelly fire. or only select?

Last scene would actually mean the last one in the list and not previous one.

so one would cycle up /down, and also you need to state if reaching either first or last scene stops the action of buttons, or they cycle through.

..

Live transport can pause, continue, stop or start.

what exactly should that 2 play buttons perform ?
