My knowledge in Max is a bit dated, so I do apologise if this a quite basic question.

Using an Iphone 7 with TouchOSC and the demo touchosc_beatmachine patch I can send data to the phone and move the sliders. However, I cannot control the sliders in the Maxpatch using the phone at all for some reason.

I have checked host settings on the both devices and made sure the in / out going ports correspond accordingly using the suggested default ports 8000 & 9000.

I have also checked network security settings and disabled my Firewall - no change.

Could it be that my receiving port on the Mac - 8000 is already being occupied? I have tried other ports too with no luck.

Using an Iphone 7 with TouchOSC and the

I can confirm that I can send OSC messages with TouchOSC, using 10.12 Sierra and 12.1.4. My setup is simple as this:

I had to setup a Host Name (the one of my computer). Could that be missing? Also, kind of obvious but needed to ask, are you under the same Wi-Fi or LAN network? Are you testing in your home network, or in an enterprise network which might have restrictions?

By the way, I'm using an iPhone 6 for this.
