CANTOR - a New Free Live Looping Software

So I've got some more work done on my Live Looping software Cantor, and made a little video demonstrating some of the features. You can download the App + user manual >> HERE All feedback is extremely valuable! Everything from how it's running on your system and how intuitive you find the interface, to how well it fills your live-looping needs and wishes!I have some optimisation left to do, so it might be a bit CPU heavy at the moment. If you could let me know what system specs + buffer sizes you can get away with, that would be amazing! Hope some of you can get some joy out of this during quarantine :) Take care! /Jonatan

Looks very interesting Jonatan! Didn't get my hands on it yet but looking forward to it. Never found a good polyrythmic looper out there, wanted to build one myself, you might just have saved me the effort :)

Hope it does the job for you :) If you have any ideas on how to improve it just let me know! If you have trouble figuring out what to do, have a look at the entries for "Quantise fraction", "Blanks", and "Track Synchronization" in the user manual, at page 19, 20 and 30. Those are the places where polyrhythms are implemented so far! I'm really happy with this way of using fractions to define the lengths! Makes it very easy to come up with new ideas! And it's all phase-driven, so it should perfectly in sync even if you drive the speed up to *1000 and leave it for ten minutes which is quite a miracle for anyone who's dealt with Mobius or other loopers where drift is an issue. I noticed some quite severe mistakes in the latest build and just uploaded a new patch, so if you already downloaded 0.55 or 0.56 i recommend you download again and get version 0.56.3!
