I'd like to use a midi note or cc to press a Live.button. Currently it takes one press to turn it on and one to turn it off. Is there a way to have it listen to on/off commands and behave like a mouse click does?

I work on a couple of M4L devices with floating window and a zoom-able UI. For the zooming part I use a piece of code (js ps.window_zoom.js) I've found here

I know that you can fill up a 1 row live.grid with random 0 and 1 values, yet, I'm interested if you can control the density of this randomness somehow?

I mean, if the user sets the "density" to 100%, the whole grid would be filled with 1s.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read.

I am working on a device that adds an audio clip to the currently selected track at the transport position in Live.

When I attempt to call the "create_audio_clip" function, I get an error like such :

live.object: Please provide an absolute path: 'create_audio_clip Macintosh HD:/Users/joewalsh/Desktop/ABSCasing_f_1.wav 10680.0'

I'm currently using a .wav file on the desktop for testing, but have tried other file locations as well with no luck so far.

Any help and/or advice you can offer me would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

UPDATE:  I found out that by adding /Volumes to the beginning of the file path, it now works properly.

I have created a new Max for Live Device that I want to distribute. It is currently a frozen .amxd. I have made several Live presets for this that are .adv files on my machine.

How can I now send the device to others - with the presets?

I have tried sending the complete thing as a folder containing the amxd and the presets, but they do not appear for the user at the other end, or are unlinked from the device.

This seems like a simple thing I must be missing....

I'm looking for a way to determine when a Live-Set has finished loading and a M4L device can access a

This is only important for Live-Sets with a lot of plug-ins, where loading can take up to half a minute, even on a current M4 Mac.
