Clocksource live?
I was attempting to use a patch with Abelton Live as the clock, but can't for the life of me get it to work. I whipped up this short patch which should do the switch, but it does not; when I hit 'clocksource live' it just stops. Is there something that needs setting up? I've poked around the internet a bunch, but no one seems to answer this specific question. Thanks.
To control Max transport from Ableton Live you need to send MIDI clock from Live to Max.

Using rtin? Most of the solutions for this problem on the forums revolve around rtin and selecting the midi information you want-- which is fine, and will probably work just hunky dory for me (have to try when I get in front of my patches again).
What is this 'clocksource live' thing for transport, in that case? The reference/help make it look super straightforward, and my forums and internet searches bring up a bunch of threads about 'clocksource rewire' causing a crash. Is there some reference material I'm missing?
Yes, Max receives MIDI clock with [rtin].
But I've just checked that 'clocksource rewire' also works for me (Mac, latest versions Live and Max). Just make sure that in Max/Audio Status 'ad_rewire' is selected as driver and audio is switched ON.
