I would like to give the number boxes red color when it complies some conditions (=7 or =12). I don't know what I'm doing wrong but the patch doesn't work. Can you help me? Thank you in advance.

I would like to give the number boxes red color when it complies some conditions (=7 or =12). I don't know what I'm doing wrong but the 

color-condition

 12" is always true, as the input will always be either not 7 or not 12, and so the output of the 

 12". That outputs 1 if the input is 7 or 12, otherwise 0. (I'll take a wild guess that you tried that but changed it out of desparation!)

2. A message, such as your "bgcolor $0.9 0.5 $0.5" will be output on 

 input, even 0 (unless the input starts with "set"). You could use a 

 to ensure that nothing gets input to the bgcolor message unless the 

output is non-zero. It's a bit fiddly, but see this simplified example:

Youv'e got two problems:
1 "expr $i1 != 7 || $i1 != 12" is always true, as the input will always be either not 7 or not 12, and so the output of the expr will always be 1.  You want "expr $i1 == 7 || $i1 == 12".  That outputs 1 if the input is 7 or 12, otherwise 0. (I'll take a wild guess that you tried that but changed it out of desparation!)

bgcolor 1 0 0 for red
or 
bgcolor 0.6 0 0.6 for violet etc
2- that expr $i1 != 7 || $i1 != 12   ???
what should that do ?
