Color Issue between Ableton and Max
What happened to the colors? Since Ableton 11.3.20 and /or MAX 8.6 there is a difference in colors (Dynamic Colors). This editor I build in MAX 8.56 and at that time the colors were identical.

The culprite is max 8.6. they are talking about that in releases notes...
FWIW if you change your color theme in Live after your M4L device is loaded they should display Live's theme colors as expected.
Thanks for the replies! I don't seem to solve this by changing the color theme. I think I'll change all the Dynamic colors to Fixed one's. In that case I'm sure they always show up as intended.

I've written up some notes on Tyler's related thread here:
In particular see the section titled Robust Theme Following. Either using appropriate dynamic colors like LCD Background and LCD Title (or similar) or fixed colors as you mention above should work for your needs AFAICT.
I hope this is helpful, and apologies for the nuisance. We weren't able to find a way to have the desired improvements in this area without requiring that devices which relied upon default Max theme colors be updated (as appears to be the case in your example).
