Connect Max 7 to Kinect
Because I worked before with Quartz and Kinect,
I want try the same by connecting a Kinect to Max 7 to use and create visuals.
I can't find any tutorial to use which works on Max 7.
Does anybody know how I can use the Kinect for creating and trigger visuals in Max?
Try elaborating a little on what you're trying to achieve with the Kinect and your results with Synapse and Freenect. Did they not work at all in Max 7, or are you after a tutorial to explain how to deal with the Kinect data?
There are 2 main avenues to explore with the Kinect: using skeleton/joint tracking; and/or the greyscale depth image.

i would like to trigger anything (let's say - led light) when I see any a repeat of movements (dancing).
any idea how to do something like that? I guess its the joint tracking...

I have two externals for the Kinect that you can use with Max 7.
dp.kinect for the original Kinect for Windows https://hidale.com/shop/dp-kinect/
dp.kinect2 for the 2nd generation Kinect for Windows (XBox One) https://hidale.com/shop/dp-kinect2/
Both of them have trials and include a demo patch where you can see examples of using skeleton/joint data. The simple one you will first see. A more advanced example is in the subpatcher.

I am using synapse on max7 for kinect, it worked on max6 sometimes, totally not working on max7, already open max in 32bits, what can I do? thanks!
