Control Maxforlive Device with Macro(s)
Hi,
noob here ^^
After a research, I can't find any input on how to control a m4l device with Ableton rack macros.
Let say I have an audio device with some controls. I put this on a rack and when I click right to assign a parameter to a macro there's noway.
If someone could help me out, I could use the rack random macro and snapshot solutions.

right click > map to macro. The Parameter must be set to "Automated and Stored" in Max
Hi thanx for your quick answer. I know how to map.
But in some m4l device this menu doesn't show so I can't map any parameter.
In this device for example, if I want to map the pitchshift, the formant etc… its impossible. No map menu, show up .
the parameter is probably set to "Stored Only" and not to "Automated and Stored" then you can`t map it.

But some parameters are showing only "stored only" or "hidden", the "Automated & Stored" is greyed out.
Than other parameter gives this possibility already
the "number" Type is set to "Blob", set it to "Float" or "Int" then it can be automated.
