Controlling Roland's new boutique synths with Max?
Anyone had any joy with this, I don't thing it can receive many midi cc message but heard you might be able to do it with sysex messages.
Ideally would like to control filter, LFO etc, it's a bit of a deal break on weather I buy one or not.
Any info appreciated!

Oli, I don't know which synths you're referring to, but surely the best way to find out would be to check out each synth's MIDI Implementation Manual, or even just the MIDI Implementation Chart near the end of the main manual. Roland have always been really good with those documents, being pretty thorough and making them available online.
i recall that the recent roland tr-8 didn't have any sysex implementation – midi CCs how ever worked. i'd suspect that sysec won't help you all too much as for parameter modulation.
