Converting Ticks Into MS
Hello,
I've been looking at the forum to try and find a way of converting ticks to ms. I've come across this patch by Source Audio. Would anyone be able to advise how/if it would be possible to use the upper left section of the patch in combination with the transport object as the source of the tick information/amount to convert into ms?
Any information on tick to ms or vice versa is much appreciated.

why do you need transport to convert number
of ticks in given tempo to ms ?
that formula can be reduced for known 480 ppq
translate object does not take tempo into account if there is no transport object in the patch.
if you need to convert raw ticks outet of transport into ms
for real time progress ?
be aware that same as in Live, transport object's raw tick output
is not aware of tempo changes.
I mean if you change tempo while running, elapsed time in ticks
will not match absolute elapsed time.
That makes it useless for that purpose.
see here, I changed tempo while running.

if you only need to know long is a bar in ms.
here is transport hooked to that converter, including ppq value into calc.
Again, dissapointing is that stopped transport does not output values if one changes time signature, only while running...
