Crossfading between 2 signals

Below is a very simple RM patch.

How can I crossfade between the Carrier and Modulator, with the centre being ring modulated?

Because of the nature of RM does not one signal require the other?
Or do I need to fade between 3 signals? Carrier>RM>Modulator?

just use a slider, attach a few scale objects to its output, then multiply the gains by whatever signals you want to control. use sqrt to have equal power xfade...

Great, that's really nice but we do not hear just the modulator on its own. We hear a gradual blend between the carrier and the multiplication of carrier/modulator. The modulator should sound an octave above the carrier!

It's a tricky one...

it's not too tricky. just rescale it so you get what you want. I'm just illustrating the principle of how you can mix an arbitrary number of inputs with a single slider, it's up to you what you do with it
