DAW (Reaper) to AVRECORDR

Hi all,

I'm a total MAX MSP noob, but here goes:

I am trying to record some Jitter/Audio files where the audio is coming from Reaper, and the Video is from Max/Jitter (with sync'd effects from Reaper's Midi Out). I have the Midi stuff working, but I don't know how to connect realtime audio from the DAW into Jitter's AVRECORDR Audio L/R. I'm sure it's dead simple...

Currently I'm recording a video performance as mp4 without audio and bringing it back into Reaper as a video, syncing as best I can, and then exporting as an mp4 with audio. crazy, right?

I have tried the ADC, but can't get Max to use my ASIO while the DAW is using it. Anyone doing this with Reaper & Max/Jitter?

tx,

Simple dead ?
It looks as if you use windows, which can limit use of midi and audio devices to 1 app at the time.
That depends on hardware used, system settings to allow exclusive usage of hardware and so on.
If you verify that your sound card is not capable of serving several apps
at same time, you have options from using built in inputs in Max to record outputs of that "ASIO device" (plug outputs of Sound Card into built in Jack)
or install some software which overcomes the limit, there are flexAsio etc,
or then some sound loopback software that stream audio app to app.
I can't help you further, as I am Mac user....
