I am brand new to Max, so please bare with me, as I don't really know where to begin.

What I need is a device with a variable threshold that measures decibels, and once that decibel threshold is crossed it sends a bang.

I then want that bang to be routed to Live to launch a clip.

1. Is this a reasonably simple approach to this, or is there a better way? 

2. What objects should I be exploring for the simplest patch.
