did you write to support? I haven't tested it yet, but it may very well be a regression bug.

However, @default can always be replaced by an initialm arguments instead – does this help meanwhile or are old patchers therefore failing?

arrgh, it's a hardware issue, I should have thought about it prior to posting. I'm working with the Daisyseed, and the reason why @default is not working is that the hardware knobs send their current value upon start, overriding any default setting. 

@default won't work (again)
