Delay with Customisable Feedback Loop
Hi!
Im quite new to Max for Live. Im looking for a delay that has a "Return" and a "Send" to Process the audio between the feedback loop cycles. So the goal is that I can modify a delay by inserting effects (ableton effects, and/or VST plugins) into the feedback loop. (Like in some guitar pedals)
does anyone know of such a device available in the community and would it be hard to create from scratch?
i have absolutely no experience in creating m4l devices, I just used them so far.

Not quite possible. Once a M4L device is deployed in Live, you can't access the audio that is flowing through it directly, and modify the signal path. You can't route it out of the device to an effect, and then back in for feedback. That's not to say that you couldn't make a delay line, that allows you to insert effects, they just wouldn't be 'Ableton or VST plugins'.
EDIT: On second glance, perhaps you can load VSTs into a M4L device, it just seems like a silly thing to do to me. Check out the [vst~] object.
