Just curious to see if there have been any attempts to make a template/patch to DJ straight out of Max. I've been digging through the forums but haven't seen anything new.

I don't have one, and I don't know a lot about DJ-ing in general, BUT you should definitely check out the AudioMix abstractions that just got added to the package manager. They'd be very useful for that sort of thing. You could also get the waveform~ object to show a song's current position pretty easily, I bet.
