Edit json file as text and save

Hello,
I would like to edit .json file as text and save but when I type write again, nothing, if I type write, windows open and I select my file confing_test.json to overwrite so it save but without overwrite, it create a new file confing_test without type extension.
Can I add type extension or something like that to overwrite ?
