External text editor doesn't open JS and Max won't open internal text editor anymore

Hello,
I wanted to edit my JS files in an external text editor. So I have set a .exe in the Prteferences.
However it doesn't function neither with Sublime Text nor with Notepad++. With Sublime Text, the OS focuses to the text editor, a window opens and the js is listed on the left panel, but the contents of the js is not displayed. With Notepad++, a message appears: " '0' doesn't exist. Want to create it? ". Whatever the answer, Notepad++ opens but the .js is not displayed.

Moreover, if I remove the path to the external editor in the preferences, quits Max and relaunches it, I can't open any .js from Max anymore: the file is displayed during an instant, then the window closes immediately.
