FCB1010 - Expression pedal activation and separation
Kind of a two parter and only one is directly max-related but I figure if anyone knows the hardware they could maybe point me in the right direction
So my first question is, once I've got both expression pedals set up, they both feed into ctlin. Is there a way to separate them? as it stands, if I put pedal A to 127 while pedal B is at 0, then start in on pedal B, it flies that value down from 127 to 0 and I can't keep them independent. I wan each one to stay put if I leave it there and mess with the other one.
other question - I know how to activate the pedals on each preset but I'm trying to do it the faster way using the PC editor - but when I send the SysEx to it, it claims it went through on the editor but the light on the footpedal (the 7 switch) doesn't go off and nothing writes to it. I'll do it the hard way if I have to but figured I'd check and see if anyone knew what I was doing wrong or if my thing's just a little messed up.
IIRC the FCB1010 can't handle more than one switch at a time. e.g. You can't use one switch as a sustain pedal and trigger notes with other switches at the same time. I wasn't interested in it because it was sort of "monophonic" like this. Not sure about the expression pedals. But even with Max there's a possibility it won't do exactly what you're trying to do. I hope I'm wrong!
The Oz distributor told me Behringer planned to add functionality to it, like sustain pedal, but I don't think it ever happened. There are 3rd-party upgrades for it, though, which may do what you need if the standard version doesn't.
